At last "typeC" was completed.

At last I completed the "Karate for DCS2/CCS/XRPS".

I spent about 1 year to make this, because I had been very busy in real life from last autumn to this spring.

But in June, I opened the official website, and today I released this "typeC".
I am a little happy now.

The characteristic of "typeC" is composition from classical and traditional skills of karate.

When I started to learn karate, I wondered "will these skills be usable in real match?".

After that, I understood those seem not to be usable.But the interest lasted all the time.

When I tested this weapon, I thought "It is cool unexpectedly."

By the way, I set the price "L$1700", slightly low price.
I will be happy if many players use this weapon.

"Kime" of Karate

In karate dojo, students often take advice to use "Kime" in basic skill. Almost students understand "Kime" by watching the motion of seniors. It will be difficult to explain by words.

Yesterday, I released the new animation "Fists,Elbow,Sweep".

I took care to express "Kime" in this animation.

What is "Kime" in making animation?
I think it will be "Ease in" of animation technique.

The following images are each frames of the part of "Sweep Guard".

From 1st to 3rd images are small change. And 4th is big change, and 5th is stop. Stop continues to 7th.

This is ease in. I think it is necessary to make the motion like "Kime".

Memories of "Six Kicks"

In "Six Kick", tehre are also many memories, because it was a skill for examination, too.

Especially, the "Hook Kick" was very seductive skill for me.

In this combination skill, the player should do the "Hook Kick" after the roundhouse kick.
I could not understand the angle of waist for the hook kick.

If I want to do the hook kick effectively, the kick must hit perpendicularly to the opponent.
But my body was not very flexible. So when I tried to kick it effectively, I had to incline the upper body.

If the player's body is very flexible, he can do the hook kick effctively without incline his upper body.

This animation is a motion of the player who has a flexible body.

Today, I released the animation "Five Kicks".
I remembered this skill is was a problem of the examination.

I think I have learned this skill when I was white belt. But I couldn't follow others. I practiced a lot and advanced little by little.

When I had become green belt, I could play this skill smoothly.

At my first examination, I was very tired because I didn't know about the examination. I think the last problem of basic skill was "Five Kicks". I have finished doing it desperately while being out of breath.

I think that we were made to do this skill in examinations of all levels.

If he lets the skill succeed, the wide position will be same as beginning. But in actual, it was very difficult. So, I often hit the next person.

I put the thought that I wanted to do this skill like this animation.

I made the animation "2 elbows and the backfist". This is a first part of kata "Safa". It was my favorite kata when I was young.

When I had begun to live in Tokyo and found a job, I was asked to show kata of karate by senior employees in a party. I showed this kata "Saifa".

I have forgotten almost kata, but I remember my favorite part of Saifa, so I made this animation.

I took this picture near the shore. The wave is bery beautiful.

This skill is a basic and classic skill, too. But I like this.

The difficult point to make this animation is the twist condition of the upper body and the waist. A little time was necessary.

I found that the pose needs the usage of complicated joint.

Hi, I made the animation of chop this time successively in the last time.

This chop will be the most powerful skill in all chops.

This is a skill for training in dojo. This skill is very dynamic about the motion of arm and whole body.

I had learned from my teacher,

"By moving speedy and dynamic in the training, you will be able to move more speedy in the match."

Hi, I installed "SL Viewer2".
At 1st, it is very useful because it canbe used without uninstalling normal viewer.

I think epoch-making about the new function that we can view web page on the texture.

The hyper link is available in the viewer, and I can zoom it to be easy to read by double click.

I was surprised and took a picture.

And I have made zoom with a camera.

Wao, it is a fine airplane.
But anybody on the ground cannot find this, because default avatars cannnot fly over 100m.

Furthermore, this flew when I flew in the outskirts.

Yes, it is a tiger.
This tiger is moving(flying,standing and sitting).

I thought "Why are these objects set such higer places where almost people cannot find?".

Hi, my difficult work in real world is completed, and it is karate animation up after a long absence.

The animation that I released today is "Backspin Right Punch".

This is a classical motion in karate.
It can not be shown in karate match, but I like this skill.
I think it will be cool to use this skill in combat.

1, It starts from "Zenkutsu dachi".

2, Move the right leg to front by streight line.

3, After it, twist the upper body to right side.

4, Give a punch by force to return the body twisted to right.

Hi, I made an animation of "Seiken Sandan Zuki".
"Seiken" is a fist, "Sandan" means triple, and "Zuki" means punsh.

It begins from "Zenkutsu dachi" which I released a few weeks ago.
In karate dojo, students train this motion many times.
This is a very traditional karate motion, so this will not be used in real match.

1st, this is "Zenkutsu dachi".

2nd, right seiken

3rd, left seiken
4th, right again

It is important to begin punch motion after decide the position of waist.

It is a traditional style for basic trainimg of karate .
Almost of newcomer to dojo will learn this skill first.

1st, open your right leg to back, and put the left hand to right ear, and guard the vital part by right hand.

Next, swing down the left arm, and move the right hand to the right armpits.

I remember that I have been tought this skill when I was young.

Today, I released this animation.

It is a combination of backspin low and high kick.

I think the man who used the backspin low kick was Andi Hug.
And I think that Kancho, Matsui had used, too.

I have never seen that the combination of this skill and high kick.
This combination was used by my dojo mate in the dojo where I learned karate.

1st, it is a fighting pose.
2nd, the backspin low is coming. 3rd, it is hitting the opponent's leg. 4th, it is changing to high kick.

5th, the high kick is hitting.

6th, kick is ending.

Rounding Heel Kick

Hi, I have been busy.
so, I updated this blog after an interval of two weeks.

I released the new animation for Second Life.
It is a "Rounding Heel Kick".
In Japanese, it is called "Dou Mawashi Kaiten Geri".
It is very dynamic, and good player can knock out the opponent by an instant.

1st, this is a fighting pose.

Twistig the upper part of the body.

After rounding the body, the leg follows and kick with the heel.

I have shown it in TV, the movement for election is very different from Japanes one.

By the way, I released the new Karate animation, today.
This skill is very high-level.

First skill is a left roundhouse kick, and without touching the foot tin the ground, next skill is left side kick, and last is right punch.

It is a "Combination of Right Low, Middle, High Kick".

The 1st kick, is low kick.
And pullig back a foot, with no landing.

Next is middle kick. Kick with high speed and not heavily.

Pull back a leg without landing.

The last high kick. Swing the kick.

It finished.

It is a "Right Axe Kick".

This skill had made be popular by Andy Hug.
When he was a player of karate, he often used this kick by turning the inside and raise the leg.
But when he become a K1 fighter, he had used it by turning the outside and raise the leg many times.

This animation is the way by turning the outside and raise the leg .

At first it is a posture with the orthodox style.
Putting up the right knee to open slightly from the front forth.

Raising a foot for overhead.
Then, it is important to return the heel of the pivot leg and sneak around a waist .

Swing down the leg, fast and strongly to give damages.

He should attracts the leg to a body quickly.

Not touch down the leg to the ground directly.

Taking down a foot calmly.

Even if the action was very dynamic, he should return to pose smoothly by all means.

Today, I released the animation of "Jumping Reverse Roundhouse Kick".

This skill is popular in action cinemas. But I have never made this animation with no reasons.
Watch this skill by YouTube movie.

I have written that the jumping motion is very difficult to make for second life animation.
Because when I upload the BVH file, the height of jump is minimized.

So, I set very high for jumping at this animation.

Today, I explain my animation. This is the fighting pose.

The avator is jumping. The upper body is rolling faster, and going to aim to front of him.

The right leg is swinging by using the torsion of the upper body.

This is the timing of impact. The right hand has been swung to acquire force for rolling of the body.

Swinging up the leg like hooking, the kick is finished.

Landing.

That's all.

It is necessary to move all joints of body.

So, I have to set the pose for all frames of animations by Poser7.0.

Hi, today is the "Marine Day"(holiday) in Japan.
So, I could released this animation.
This is an animation of repeated body blows of karate for second life avator.

It contains 1 straight punch for opponent's face and 6 body blows.

I used 2 frames for 1 punch.
It may be felt so fast, but I think that rythm is more important than seeing all frames.

I will show it soon, and I will make a new shop only for DCS users.

At first, it was an opportunity that DCS was introduced by an American man.
He said to me."You should make the Karate weapon for DCS"
I asked him."What is DCS ?"

This plase was "DARK CITY", SIM for DCS.
I knew "DCS" means "Dynamic Combat System".
The combat in "DARK CITY" was very exciting. And I made up my mind to make an karate weapon for DCS.

In DCS, members use the HUD that display numerical value such as health or the stamina.And values(strength ,concentration, etc.) also forms a line in the screen upper part.

I heard that SIMs for DCS are over 30, and over 5,000 peaple play there.
DCS is not only combat system but also RPG system.So, they do not always fight, usually enjoying role playing.

To start DCS, we should go to Resource Center of DCS.Jarang (143, 213, 377)

Signboards of SIM for "DCS" are displayed there.

HUD or weapons of "the DCS" are sold over there.

It is a 1st step to get them to start DCS.

I went to the "Roman Empire"SIM. The Roman Empire (5, 127, 30)Because I who liked the history was interested in the SIM.

I picked a quarrel recklessly.

I have been ruined by a sword a lot.

Priority and Permission

Hi, I'm now making Karate weapon for DCS.

Yesterday, I edited my all karate animations those are sold at shops in SL, and in SLEX and shop OnRez.

I changed
1, I made the priority of all animattions "4".
2, I made the permission of all animattions "modify OK".

You know, we should configure the priority of animation when we upload BVH file.
Sometimes I have set it 3, because there are no problems to enjoy only watching animations.
but recently, many peaple purchase my Karate animations to make weapons for combat.

In many combat sysytems, player uses arrow buttons for avator's motion.
At this time, if the priority of Karate animation is low, walking motion delete the Karate animation.

So, I changed the priority "4".

And to make weapon with Karate animations, they want to change the file name.
So, I made the "modify" permission OK.

I think that the karate animations became the convenient materials to make a weapon.

Hi, recently I have got a lot of IM from the people who are not Japanese.
Needless to say, they chat in English.

I usually read them when they are not in SL, because there is difference in time.
Because I am troublesome, I ignored them in a beginning, but recently I intend to challenge to reply and talk.

The Number of Residents Logged-In

Hi, it's very cold, is't it?
But in SL, it's very hot before X'mas.

Total Residents of SL increased 11,476,426 ,today.
But they say that there are many people who log in only 1time, because they cannot find what to do.
So, I have been interested in the change of the number of Residents Logged-In.
At this page we can see the numbers of "Residents Logged-In During Last 7,14,30,60 Days".
(I think numbers will be ones of unique users)

But I could not find the graph of the change of them.
(If you know about it, please teach me.)

I have begun to write down numbers of "Population" of the page in Excel from the latter half of September.
*I think the points falling greatly are influence of maintenance in SL.

Seeing it, numbers increase from the latter half of October to November, but become about the same with numerical value three months ago when December begins.

Because the age group of most users seems to be 30 generations, the number of the login may fall in the time when work is busy.

Sculpted Prim by LightWave3D (2nd)

Today,Iexplain about sculpted prim made by LightWave3D.
A finished product is the lights tower in the image below.
I like the shadow chopped in structure very much.
I looks photograph-like, but it is not a photograph.

At first, , make an object by LightWave, and set surface by node editer that was added from LW9.0.

After the appearance became good feeling, render it by "surface baking camera".

Then the following texture was made.

Next, render the sculpt image by using the plugin of LW.
It is easy to make this, because the work can be done immediately after making surface.

Well, look at the step before rendaring.
The most important thing to make sculpt prim is editting a UV map adequately.

By default, the UV map of this object is below.
Seemingly I seem to be orderly, but there is a protruding part.
In addition, it is hard to find it, but, the top and base round surfaces are in linearity state at top and the base of the map.

Widen these and edit it, not to protrude ,not to have blanks.
At last, make it a triangle polygon by Ctrl+T.

Notice, making triangle polygon is the last work, because edittig becaome defficult after it.

Aftre them, the final map is below.
I do not think this is perfect, but think that the point where I minded was not wrong because I was able to make the shape that I thought.

Motion Plug 1.5 is released!

Hi, I am very happy, because I could complete the "Motion Plug 1.5 ".
The theme was to solve malfunction, but as a result, I think "Motion Plug 1.5 " is more useful because of being unnecessary to click many dialogs when you attach it.

The Issue of Motion Plug for 1.18.5 Viewer

Today, I inform about the issue of free HUD "Motion Plug1.0" for "Second Life 1.18.5 Viewer ".
"Second Life 1.18.5 Viewer" was released on November 29th, and there was a big change about "Permissions dialogs".

Hi, at last I have completed the En-Bu stage.
"En-Bu" is a demonstration of Japanese "Budo"(samurai spirits).
I' build it abaove my 2nd shop in Kichijoji SIM.

Seeing from a ground, it's a strange feeling that the lump of the stone floats in the sky in this way.
The yellow ball means the sun, and that emits particle.
I looked from the side. It is like a "town center" in "Ege of Empire".And this is a view from the sky.
And when I approach, stage is quite large ; (a diameter of 20m).
I am doing a karate en-bu.

You can play the animation on each Dance Ball.

I made this!
This is my first making that I could be satisfied about sculpt.

Because the fire change in various ways with time, please watch the fire.
And turn "ON" the Movie control and BGM control.

Karate Animation for EN-BU

Hi, I am building a stage for EN-BU(karate demo) .

New Conbination Skill Animation

Hi, I released a new karate animation.
It is a combination of right roundhouse kick, left reverse roundhouse kick, right jumping high kick.

I am satisfied with this work.
I remember the player who showed this movement in the real match once.The movement was very splendid.

By the way, my tool to make animation is Poser7.0.
I am usually troubled with the change of the angle of the ankle ,when I turn off the Inverse kinematics.Possibly I may not understand an operation method.

I turn on IK from beginning to end and, in the case of the movement with a few raising and lowerings of foot, can make it.
But when a foot to sprinkle a center of gravity changes frequently, I must change ON,OFF of IK.
I perform pose registration frequently to deal with the symptom.
I finally register the pose of all frames, and arrange all poses in the state that turned off IK and fine-tune by one frame.

I think it is very important to adjust all frames without compromising.

Right Roundhouse Kick

Hi, I released the animation "Right Roundhouse Kick ".

I had a hard time a little to make this animation.
I think that there is the personality in the kick with a leg of the rear.

There will be two types about the right kick.
The first type is raising a leg linearly, and going to hit to a right angle on the head of the enemy.

The second type is swinging down from the top after putting a knee inward from one's center, and returning a waist.

I hesitated a little on making an animattion which way of kicking I would make it.
But I decided to make second type.
Because in 3DCG game, the first type kick is common very much and is worthless .

I expressed to do a complete turn by surplus energy after the kick.
Actually, this action is often seen in battle, whether it is not good.

And I made the another version at the same time.
It is "Right Roundhouse Kick with Feint".
The feint to start front kick before roundhouse kick is a popular skill.
The dificult point was slight adjustment of speed.

"Awa Folk Dance" Animation

The summer festival in Kichijoji SIM was considerably prosperous.

I was able to enter a little at night of 17th on the last day, but think that probably there were the number of people restrictions of SIM.

And many people had been dancing by my "Awa Folk Dance" animations.

It is a very popular dance in Japan.

There are the dance for male and the one for female in "Awa Folk Dance".

The one for femal is very pretty I think.

Hi, everyday is very hot in Japan.

I have finished making animations for the event in Kichijoji SIM.
These are animations of "Awa Odori" which is the one of Japanese traditional and very famous dance.

I cannot show you them bay movie now,because the event is the first release of them.
But the 1image showing is OK, and it is below.

After the event(17th-19th, Aug),I will sell these animations at my shop.

By the way,I write the important point to make animations by "Poser".

Making animations for Second Life Avator,you should set zero figure pose at the 1st frame.
In other words you must zero the rotary angle of all joints like below.And you will make key from 2nd frame.

After making almost keys,you supplement between keys.

When you do it, you will supplement by spline curves.The spline curve makes the motion natural.In the image of abave,the green keys mean the spline curve.

But,when you see the next frame........
The figure is such a terrible condition. Why?
The reason is that there is the pose of all joint zero in the first frame.

Watch the spline curve at the graph.

The curve is the motion of her waist.
In fact, I want to make the motion like a blue curve from 2nd frame to 12th frame.

But the spline curve makes too big wave.
One way to avoid this situation is to make the curve a straight line.
The orange frames mean the strait line.
But to tell the careful thing, this motion is not natural for human.
It is like a machine's motion.

After all I want to use the spline curve.

To use it and not to make broken pose, I push the "Spline Cancel" button, after selecting 2nd frame keys.

Hi,this is the report of new karate animation!

It is the combination of left punch,right punch,backspin blow and axe kick.
Watch the YouTube movie.

This skill seems to be quite popular.So,I released it, and several visitors were bought in succession immediately.

Punches make enemy lean back,and axe kick drop to run after it.
The point of axe kick is how to use the waist and a pivot leg.

By the way, so the avatar has moved just as I wanted, I was satisfied and felt him pretty.

Sculpted Prim by LightWave3D

Hi,this became the update article after a long absence again.

It is the reason why I was not able to update it for a while,that I revised LightWave which was a main tool.So,I have done the setting and inspected the new functions.

It was the plugin for Second Life and "Surface Baking Camera" that I paid attention to in this version up in particular.Plug in called "LWOEncorder" increases one more, but I leave it unattended first of all without understanding use well.

By the way, it is an object like an onion on the Nippon Budokan that I made by Sculpt.

As for me, there was not the contemplation to this object in particular.
The reason why I made this is that I wanted to reduce the number of prims and seemed to be suitable for sculpt.

After all the workmanship of the sculpt object became quite coarse.What I made at first with LightWave is as follows.
As for the object made by sculpt, the surface is uneven when I compare it with this.
Possibly there may be too much number of the polygons when I made it with LightWave.Because it was hard to look for the number of the appropriate polygons right now, I improved it in this state first of all.

In addition, I intend to make trial and error in various ways.

By the way, I try to make animation hard this week ,because I did not yet take out the new work of the animation this month.

I think now I hould make a new work of combination skill animation of karate, because combination skill animations are popular in my work showing more than expected to.

Hi, I released the combination of left high kick ~ right reverse roundhouse kick.
I think there may be much one to remember this motion by TV dramas and movies.

The good player of the kick really uses even the karate match as the effective skill.

When I make this motion, the point that I should be careful to is this pose to take down the left foot when I move to revers roundhouse kick from a left high kick. The place that photographed this is land of "Japan Islands" which I obtained newly.

I'm always thinking about making animations.
But I intended to sometimes enjoy to sightseeing ,so I watched various towns in second life.

After walkimg some towns,I found the favorite town named "DEJIMA".
There is a Tokyo Tower made very precisely.

And, this is a main theme of today,there was a concert hall with screen.
I have known that movie can be shown in second life,but didn't know it is so clearly.
I was a little impressed.
I saw singers very splendidly and melodies won through up to memory.

Hello, I showed the combination skill.
It is the combination made from left punch,right punch,left high roundhousekick.
It is called "one two high" in Japanese karate dojo.

Till today,I made roundhousekick,left punch and right punch.
Even if I arrange the 3 simply,they do not become the combination .

For example,in the case ofn the case of upper combination,I start the next skill with the twist of the body for the latter half of the skill of before.

Therefore, by one does not become the combination even if I join the independent skill together simply.

You will understand the meaning of the explanation,if you try on the animation in my shop.

It is the basic combination which we continues practicing till becoming a senior since the days of a beginner, and use even the match frequently.

The Kichijoji SIM is going to open.
I have helped to develop towns from a few weeks ago.

Yesterday,the member of the Kichijoji was working in the midnight.Kichijoji is a real city in Tokyo.
There is a city of the atmosphere that is fashion with popularity to a youth.
Kichijoji SIM is going to similar in real Kichijoji.
It will open on June 13.

I asked for a shop for the station square.
As a result, I was able to prepare Brave Stream Kichijoji station square shop.

And I asked for another one place, land for a luxurious thing.
I borrowed land of 1,024 square meters and built the shop which resembled the Colosseum of ancient Roman age there.

In fact, I wanted to make here an arena.
To tell the true intention, I wanted to make here the arena where avatars fight with the karate skill.However, it is the dream that is impossible to me now because it thinks that perhaps a complicated scripts are necessary to realize it.

The "Side Kick" is a popular technique in karate.But many people are watching it in kung fu movies.

The side kick in karate is a little different from the one in kung fu.
Because a player holds it in the form that is easy to use a side kick from a beginning by kung fu, but in the form that is easy to start a punch by karate.

And a side kick resembles back kick.
A different point of both is a difference of an angle of a waist and an angle going over the leg.

Using a side kick, I put up a side of a foot like an edged tool and hit to an enemy. The form of the foot is called "sokutou" in Japanese. The meaning of it is "sword of a foot".

Hello,this is my first posting.
I'm going to write about actions in Second Life.
I'm Japanese,but my name in Second Life is "William7 Streeter".Because I like William Wallece in "Brave Heart".So,I named my shop "Brave Stream".

I don't know whether this name is not funny as English.However, I like it because the reading feeling is good.By the way,what kinds of shop is my "Brave Stream"?

I had learned karate for about 10years in Japan.First 4 years in Nagoya,and next 6years are in Tokyo.I was given the black belt 2nd degree,and I participated in an all-Japan championship twice.

When I knew second life for the first time,I thought that Ishould make real karate motions for avatars,because one of my work of these past several years is CG production.I thought that it was the activity that only I could do.

So,I made some animations,and increase them continuously from now on.I will report my actions with this blog mainly about making karate animations.

My English sentence is unpolished, and is sorry.
